The Denver Nuggets have rescinded the qualifying offer on Trey Lyles, making the forward an unrestricted free agent, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Lyles became expendable in Denver following Monday's reported acquisition of Jerami Grant from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The 23-year-old Canadian's development stalled somewhat this past season after he missed several games due to a hamstring injury. He shot under 42 percent from the floor and just 25.5 percent from deep.
