The Detroit Pistons are signing veteran forward Markieff Morris, league sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
From 2013-14 to 2017-18, the 6-foot-10 Morris averaged 13.4 points, six rebounds, 1.9 assists, and one steal per game. However, the big man averaged just 9.4 points and 4.6 rebounds in 2018-19 and missed more than a month with neck and back issues.
The Washington Wizards elected to waive Morris in February, and he finished the season with the Oklahoma City Thunder, playing just over 16 minutes per game for the playoff-bound squad.
His twin brother, Marcus Morris - who's also a free agent - previously played with the Pistons from 2015-17.
