The Phoenix Suns have agreed to a three-year, $51-million contract with Ricky Rubio, league sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
In a two-season stint with the Utah Jazz, the 28-year-old Spaniard averaged 12.9 points, 5.7 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game.
The Suns have long sought backcourt help for shooting guard Devin Booker. Last season, rookies De'Anthony Melton and Elie Okobo started a combined 47 games at point guard. An eight-year veteran, Rubio gives Phoenix an experienced playmaker to run the offense.
