The Los Angeles Lakers may be trying to lure unrestricted free agent Patrick Beverley down the Staples Center hallway from the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Lakers have reached out to Beverley's representatives, sources told the Los Angeles Times' Brad Turner. The team has also touched base with Seth Curry's reps, according to Turner.

One of the NBA's more tenacious defenders, Beverley has spent the last two seasons with the Clippers after five years in Houston. He's a career 38 percent 3-point shooter. The soon-to-be 31-year-old earned just over $5 million this past season.

Curry meanwhile, is an unrestricted free agent after making $2.8 million this season with the Portland Trail Blazers. The younger brother of Stephen Curry hit a career-high 45 percent of his 3-point shots, good for third in the NBA.
