Kevin Durant is expected to engage in discussions with the Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, and L.A. Clippers when free agency kicks off Sunday, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

It's unlikely that Durant will want to have formal presentations as he and his agent, Rich Kleiman, have enough of an understanding of the organizations that are hoping to land him.

Durant will likely receive max offers from all four suitors despite suffering an Achilles tear in Game 5 of the NBA Finals that may sideline him for the entire 2019-20 campaign.

Face-to-face meetings and other forms of communications with Durant will take place in New York City, where Durant continues to rehabilitate from the injury, according to Wojnarowski.

The Warriors are planning on offering the two-time NBA Finals MVP the five-year supermax worth $221 million in an effort to keep him alongside Stephen Curry and possibly Klay Thompson - pending his free-agency decision - for the foreseeable future.

The Knicks, Nets, and Clippers have all carved out enough cap space to land two marquee free agents, which could help lure Durant with an additional superstar.

New York has long been the favorite to sign Durant but run the risk of having another down year without the injured star.

The Nets are currently the favorites to sign Kyrie Irving - a known friend of Durant - away from the Boston Celtics.
