The Boston Celtics have signed UCF center Tacko Fall to an Exhibit 10 contract after he went undrafted on Thursday, sources told ESPN's Jonathan Givony.

The 7-foot-7 big man was an unlikely candidate to make the league before an impressive showing at the NBA combine. He broke several combine measurement records, including his 10-foot-2 standing reach and insane 8-foot-2 wingspan.

Fall averaged 11.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks in 24.9 minutes during his senior season with the Knights. He helped UCF get its first-ever NCAA Tournament win before falling to Duke in the Round of 32.

What the analysts are saying

  • "Over the course of the past few months, Fall has proven he’s more than just a curiosity - he’s enormous, and his primary value as a vertical rim-protector is immediately evident. He dwarfs mostly everyone on the floor, has gotten into pretty good shape and moves well for his size, and might have a chance at carving out a role as someone’s third center. He can’t shoot jumpers and will be limited offensively, but it’s hard to deny the way his length warps the dimensions of the floor." - Sports Illustrated's Jeremy Woo
