Raptors' Anunoby active for Game 2, may not play
Toronto Raptors wing OG Anunoby is active for Game 2 of the NBA Finals, according to The Athletic's Blake Murphy.
Raptors head coach Nick Nurse added that it's not a certainty that Anunoby will actually play Sunday night, per Murphy. The 21-year-old hasn't seen game action since the final contest of the regular season on April 9.
Anunoby's appendix burst just days before the Raptors' first-round series against the Orlando Magic, requiring an emergency appendectomy and denying the Raptors a key member of their typical wing rotation. An ensuing infection further delayed his return.
The second-year player out of Indiana averaged seven points and 2.9 rebounds in just over 20 minutes per appearance this season, mostly as a reserve.
Toronto hosts the Golden State Warriors at 8:00 p.m. ET.
