Barring an unforeseen change of heart and assuming Zion Williamson goes to the New Orleans Pelicans, the Memphis Grizzlies are reportedly locked in on taking Ja Morant with the No. 2 overall pick in this summer's NBA draft, a source told ESPN's Jonathan Givony.

The Grizzlies have reportedly begun telling parties in Chicago - the site of this week's NBA Draft Combine - of the direction they're going.

Morant averaged 24.5 points on 49.9 percent shooting and 36.3 percent from deep during his sophomore year at Murray State, while also posting 10 assists, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.8 steals in 36.6 minutes per game.

The 19-year-old was a consensus first-team All-American and took home both the Lute Olson and Bob Cousy award for being college basketball's best non-freshman and point guard, respectively.

Current Grizzlies floor general Mike Conley will make $32.5 million in 2020-21 with an early-termination option in his contract the following year.
