Academy Award-winning director Spike Lee hopes divine intervention will help his beloved New York Knicks land the top pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Ahead of Tuesday night's draft lottery, Lee posted a message on Instagram asking the "basketball gods" to give the Knicks the coveted pick and "drop a hint" to Kevin Durant to come to New York.

"Dear basketball gods please take your faithful out of the wilderness to the heavenly orange and blue skies," he wrote. "We don't think that is too much to ask considering we haven't had an NBA championship in 46 years."

Lee isn't the only Knicks fan praying for Zion Williamson. A priest, a rabbi, a miracle healer and medical medium, a shaman, and two witches have also visited Madison Square Garden in recent days in an attempt to bring good fortune to the team, according to the New York Post's Greg Joyce and Kirsten Fleming.
