San Antonio Spurs assistant Ime Udoka will interview for the Cleveland Cavaliers' head coaching vacancy this weekend, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Udoka joined the Spurs as an assistant in 2012 and captured his first championship in that role in 2014. He previously competed as a player in San Antonio for two seasons from 2007 through 2009.

The former seven-year pro interviewed for the Toronto Raptors' vacancy last summer prior to Nick Nurse's promotion. Udoka was also in the running to coach the Detroit Pistons until Dwane Casey landed the gig.

Cleveland parted ways with Larry Drew - who took over from Tyronn Lue seven games into the 2018-19 campaign - following a 19-63 season which tied the Phoenix Suns for the second-worst record in the Association.
