Gregg Popovich's night ended before it really even got started.

For the second time in three games, the San Antonio Spurs head coach was ejected for arguing with officials when he was booted just 63 seconds into Wednesday's road matchup with the Denver Nuggets.

The last coach to be ejected within the first two minutes was former Washington Wizards bench boss Flip Saunders (1:46) in 2012, according to Elias Sports Bureau.

Popovich was also removed from Sunday's loss to the Sacramento Kings early in the third quarter following a pair of technical fouls. He needed to be restrained by his players and coaching staff before his exit.

Maintaining a sense of humor about Wednesday's ordeal, Popovich jokingly interrupted Michael Malone's postgame presser after San Antonio's 113-85 loss to innocently ask the Nuggets coach about the ejection.
