The Golden State Warriors suspended Jordan Bell on Wednesday after the reserve center reportedly placed a hotel charge on the personal credit card of assistant coach Mike Brown the day before, sources told The Athletic's Anthony Slater and Sam Amick.

Golden State announced Bell's suspension for "conduct detrimental to the team," which was served in Wednesday's 118-103 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Warriors reportedly investigated the purchase after Brown was made aware of the unnamed charge. This may not have been the first time that the 6-foot-9 sophomore has made a purchase under a member of the organization, the sources said.

Bell's character has come into question in the past. He upset Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle in 2017 after going off-the-back for an alley-oop to himself in the final minute of a Warriors blowout win. He also skipped an optional practice last season in the middle of the Warriors' playoff series with the San Antonio Spurs.

Golden State acquired Bell from the Chicago Bulls in exchange for $3.5-million in a 2017 draft-day trade that was widely regarded as a steal.

The former second-round selection has seen his role diminish after a successful rookie campaign, averaging 2.8 minutes less per game with his numbers dipping across the board.
