Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry was in a league of his own heading into Sunday's slate of games, having been the only player in NBA history to ever convert 300 3-pointers in a season.
That's no longer the case, though, as Houston Rockets All-Star and reigning Most Valuable Player James Harden drilled his 300th trey of the year in a narrow 94-93 road win over the Dallas Mavericks.
Most 3-pointers in a season
| Rank | Player | Team | 3PM | Year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Stephen Curry | Golden State Warriors | 402 | 2015-16 |
| 2 | Stephen Curry | Golden State Warriors | 324 | 2016-17 |
| 3 | James Harden | Houston Rockets | 300 | 2018-19 |

Harden has also attempted 835 3-pointers across 62 appearances, which ranks as the second-most ever taken behind Curry's 886 from the 2015-16 campaign. The 41-25 Rockets still have 16 games remaining on their schedule for the 29-year-old to topple that number.
