Report: Pelicans rejected Knicks' offer of Porzingis for Davis
The New Orleans Pelicans rejected the New York Knicks' trade offer for Anthony Davis that centered around Kristaps Porzingis, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Porzingis was dealt to the Dallas Mavericks in a stunning blockbuster last Thursday, mere hours after reports surfaced about him requesting a trade out of New York. Over the weekend, it was reported that the Knicks traded Porzingis before hearing offers from more teams beyond the Mavs.
The Knicks haven't re-engaged with the Pelicans regarding a Davis deal since the Porzingis trade, Wojnarowski reports. At this point, however, the most attractive asset New York can dangle for Davis is the team's first-round selection in June's draft, which currently has a 14 percent chance of being the No. 1 pick.
