Houston Rockets center Clint Capela is expected to miss four-to-six weeks with a right thumb injury, a league source told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Capela suffered the injury during the third quarter of Houston's 116-109 loss to the Orlando Magic on Sunday.

The Rockets are already without Chris Paul (who's missed the last 11 games with a hamstring injury) and Eric Gordon (out the last seven games with a knee injury).

Houston may need to turn to Nene and Marquese Chriss for longer stretches and could utilize a small-ball rotation with 6-foot-6 forward P.J. Tucker manning the middle.

Capela was in the midst of a career year, averaging 17.6 points and 12.6 rebounds in 42 appearances.
