The boo birds were out for Minnesota Timberwolves forward Andrew Wiggins on his home floor Friday but it came as no surprise to the 23-year-old Canadian.

"That's fans for you. We've got some s----y fans and we've got some good fans. That's just how it works," Wiggins said following Minnesota's 123-120 overtime loss to the lowly Atlanta Hawks, according to the Athletic's Jon Krawczynski.

Wiggins received a negative reaction while at the charity stripe, where he missed seven of his 12 attempts - including four in the extra period and three in the final minute - which greatly impacted the end result. He finished with 16 points on 5-of-14 shooting, six rebounds, two assists, and a pair of blocks in 41 minutes of action.

Prior to tip-off, Wiggins even forgot to put his jersey on underneath his warm-ups and needed one rushed to him before the game got underway.

Wiggins is contributing just 16.5 points on 39.5 percent shooting, 34 percent from deep, and 69.5 percent from the free-throw line in 22 games since Jimmy Butler was shipped to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Currently playing in his fifth campaign with the Timberwolves, Wiggins is locked in through 2022-2023 after inking a five-year, $148-million extension prior to last season.
