Kerr: Warriors may be 'most scrutinized team' in NBA history

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr thinks few teams - if any - have been held under the microscope quite like his current squad.

"(The media has) set the bar really high. So everything takes on a little greater sense of urgency in terms of what happens around the team," Kerr said Wednesday, according to ESPN's Nick Friedell. "We're maybe the most scrutinized team in the history of the league. We're right there with the (Chicago) Bulls teams that I played on. I felt the same, but even more so now because of the number of media outlets and the immediacy of the judgment and criticism."

For someone who played alongside all-timers like Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and the outrageously gregarious Dennis Rodman during the Chicago Bulls' historic reign in the 1990s, that's saying something.

Still, after suffering a 26-point defeat on their home court to the division-rival Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday in what was billed as the marquee event on the NBA's Christmas Day slate, Kerr anticipated a deluge of nitpicking and criticism.

"So it's all part of it; our guys have learned how to deal with all of that over the past few years," Kerr continued. "It doesn't matter. What matters is how you respond to a bad loss, to a bad stretch, to injuries. As long as you keep responding, keep showing up to work, keep sticking together, keep working, good things are going to happen. That's what I believe with this group."
