Don't expect to see Kevin Love for the remainder of 2018.
Love will be in and out of a boot for two more weeks as he recovers from surgery on his big toe, and he expects to return to action sometime in the new year, the forward told ESPN's Rachel Nichols on Tuesday's edition of "The Jump."
The Cleveland Cavaliers announced Nov. 2, the day of Love's procedure, that his expected return to basketball activity would be updated in approximately six weeks, which comes out to Dec. 14.
The 30-year-old All-Star stated in October that the initial toe injury occurred during the team's preseason opener, although he played through the pain for the team's first four outings of the 2018-19 campaign. The Cavaliers are now 2-13.
Love averaged 19 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 3.5 dimes when he played but shot just 32.3 percent from the field and 29.2 percent from behind the arc. In the summer, he signed a four-year, $120-million extension with the Cavs that kicks in next year.
