Draymond Green plans on appealing the $120,000 fine from his one-game suspension by the Golden State Warriors, a source told ESPN's Marc J. Spears.

Green accepted the suspension by the team but was surprised at the fine. He'll be aided in his appeal by the National Basketball Players Association.

The former Defensive Player of the Year was suspended and fined in relation to his vulgar rant toward teammate Kevin Durant during an argument on the sideline Monday. The argument started after Green didn't pass to Durant in the dying seconds of regulation, and the Warriors went on to lose 121-116 to the Los Angeles Clippers in overtime. The dispute continued in the locker room postgame, where Green questioned Durant's loyalty to the team.

Several people around the organization, as well as former teammates, have attempted to broker peace between the two to ensure the Warriors get back on track in their quest for a third consecutive NBA championship.

"Those dudes won a chip together," said an unnamed Warriors player, according to Spears. "They will be brothers again tomorrow."

Green missed Tuesday's 110-103 win over the Atlanta Hawks but should be available to rejoin Durant and the Warriors for Thursday's Western Conference finals rematch with the Houston Rockets.
