Los Angeles Lakers head coach Luke Walton has been fined $15,000 by the NBA for comments critical of officiating, the league announced Wednesday.

Walton unleashed a torrent of criticism on referees following Monday's overtime loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

"I was going to save my money, but I just can't anymore," he said.

The Lakers shot 26 free throws Monday to the Spurs' 38.

"Watch how Josh Hart plays this game," Walton said. "He played 40 minutes tonight. All he does is attack the rim. Zero free throws tonight. Zero."
