Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin scored a career-high 50 points Tuesday in a thrilling 133-132 overtime win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Griffin drained five 3-pointers and added 14 boards and six assists to help the Pistons overcome a Sixers team fueled by Joel Embiid's 33-point, 11-rebound, seven-assist evening.

Philly nearly pulled away at the end as sharpshooting guard JJ Redick completed the rare four-point play with 5.6 seconds left to put the 76ers up by two.

Griffin came back and scored the game-winning and-1 layup with 1.8 seconds remaining to push him to the 50-point plateau and hand the Pistons the one-point victory.

The Pistons are now 3-0 on the season and will look to maintain their perfect record when they take on the winless Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday.
