Report: Will Barton suffered groin strain vs. Suns, return unknown
An MRI Sunday revealed Denver Nuggets swingman Will Barton suffered a groin strain during Saturday's 119-91 home victory over the Phoenix Suns, league sources told the Athletic's Shams Charania.
A timetable for his return to action remains unclear.
The 27-year-old fell to the ground in considerable pain following a reverse layup attempt minutes into the third quarter and required a wheelchair to exit the floor.
Barton mentioned during his postgame interview that the injury occurred during his takeoff and that he felt something pop.
He finished the night with 14 points, five rebounds, four assists, and a steal in just 19 minutes of action.
The Nuggets are back in action Sunday against the reigning champion Golden State Warriors at Pepsi Center.
