The Chicago Bulls have claimed Tyler Ulis off waivers and converted the 22-year-old guard to a two-way contract, the team announced Monday.

Ulis played 132 games (58 starts) for the Phoenix Suns over the past two seasons, averaging 7.6 points, 4.1 assists, and 0.9 steals in just over 21 minutes per appearance. He was named the Western Conference Rookie of the Month in March 2017.

Waived by the Suns in June, Ulis signed a training-camp contract with the Golden State Warriors in September. The 5-foot-10 point guard was among the reigning champion's final cuts.

The Bulls' current point-guard rotation consists of incumbent starter Kris Dunn and reserves Cameron Payne and Ryan Arcidiacono.
