Philadelphia 76ers forward Mike Muscala apologized Saturday for recent offensive tweets made by his father. The apology was included in a statement from the 76ers denouncing the behavior, via PhillyVoice's Kyle Neubeck.

"His comments were uncalled for and inappropriate, and they do not reflect who I am," Muscala was quoted as saying in the statement.

Bob Muscala reportedly operated a Twitter feed under the handle "MuskieBobber," which included offensive remarks toward African-Americans and made light of violence in Chicago.

Bryan Colangelo was forced to resign as 76ers president in May after an internal investigation determined his wife operated multiple burner Twitter accounts that were critical of various Sixer and NBA figures.
