Chris Bosh has remained optimistic that he'd one day take the floor for an NBA team again, but now it sounds like he's giving himself a timeline to figure out where his career is headed.

Attending Monday's preseason game between the New York Knicks and Washington Wizards at Madison Square Garden, the 34-year-old told the New York Daily News' Stefan Bondy that he'll make a final determination on his career by the time the All-Star break rolls through.

Being in the Big Apple, Bosh was asked whether he'd be open to suiting up for the Knicks, whose head coach, David Fizdale, worked as an assistant during Bosh's tenure with the Miami Heat.

"If they make a deal, yeah," he responded.

"It’s up to the team doctors from that team. And then we go from there."

It was in 2015 when Bosh was forced to sit out the final 30 games of the regular season after competing in the All-Star Game due to a blood clot being discovered on one of his lungs. He returned to action the following year, but was ruled out again because a clot was found in his leg.

The Heat officially waived the 11-time All-Star and two-time champion in July 2017, freeing up approximately $25.3 million in salary cap space at the time. Team president Pat Riley noted that Bosh's No. 1 would never be worn again, and would hang in the rafters at American Airlines Arena one day.

Bosh has averaged 19.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, two assists, and a rejection on 49.4 percent shooting across 13 seasons with both the Heat and Toronto Raptors.
