Adidas' Yeezy basketball shoes will hit the hardwood at some point this season - just not with one design shown in a recent post by creator Kanye West.
An industry source told ESPN's Nick DePaula that the sneakers wouldn't be approved as currently presented, citing the potential of the reflective "3M" panels on the heels of the shoes distracting spectators.
While the league itself has not had an opportunity to vet the Yeezys for in-game use, the NBA would reportedly permit West's first basketball sneaker if the reflective material is omitted.
