Kevin Love dove into the scary details of his panic attack during a Cleveland Cavaliers game that took place Nov. 5.

In an interview with Carson Daly on NBC's "Today," the Cleveland Cavaliers power forward explained his fright after collapsing on the court.

"I had a moment where I thought I was going to die," Love said. "I had never experienced something like that. I thought I was having a heart attack. Heart racing and I was running around looking for something that I couldn't find. I just wanted to get air. And so I ended up basically unconscious on the floor and putting my hand down my throat and trying to get something out of there, but there was nothing there."

Love, who hadn't disclosed his symptoms publicly until Monday, added that Cavs athletic trainer Steve Spiro was also stricken with fright when he found Love in the midst of his attack.

"I just remember him screaming my name because you don't really know how to deal with that," Love said.

The 29-year-old, who re-signed in Cleveland long term this offseason, fearlessly stepped into a spokesperson role for mental health issues in the NBA. In April, Love appeared with San Antonio Spurs All-Star DeMar DeRozan in a league-sanctioned public service announcement about mental wellness.
