Melo pens thank you letter to OKC, says his 'story is far from over'

Carmelo Anthony says he has no hard feelings about his exit from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Having officially signed on as a Houston Rocket, Anthony provided The Oklahoman with a message of gratitude for his one season spent in a Thunder uniform.

"Thank You, OKC" the letter begins. "I know it was only one season, but from the time I arrived in OKC, I was greeted with so much love from the team, the organization, and of course the INCREDIBLE fans of this amazing city. Throughout the entire season, game after game, you cheered me on and rooted for us as a team. That is something I will always cherish and never forget. That genuine support kept me going all season long."

Melo went on to thank a a multitude of members within the Thunder organization, including Russell Westbrook, Paul George, and general manager Sam Presti, before concluding with a statement about the years to come.

"This chapter of my career may be coming to an end but my story is far from over," Anthony wrote. "Love Always."
