The "Future of New York" apparently doesn't include shooting guard Courtney Lee.

A recent promotional post by the Knicks on their Instagram page for the 2018-19 schedule featured nine members of the roster, including Kristaps Porzingis, Enes Kanter, Lance Thomas, and rookie Kevin Knox. Noticeably absent from the image was Lee, who started 69 of his 76 appearances last season in what was his second year in the Big Apple.

The 32-year-old veteran commented on the post, perhaps hinting that his days with the franchise may be numbered.

Lee inked a four-year, $48-million contract with the Knicks in 2016, and is owed $12.2 million and $12.7 million the next two years before hitting unrestricted free agency in 2020.

He averaged 12 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.1 steals on 45.4 percent shooting for the 29-win Knicks last season, who fell short of a playoff berth for the fifth year in a row.
