The seemingly invincible Golden State Warriors aren't going to rest on their laurels after capturing a third NBA championship in four years.
"We're still really hungry," owner Joe Lacob said of his Warriors, according to The Athletic's Ethan Strauss. "That's what people should be worried about if they're going to be worried about anything."
Since landing Kevin Durant in 2016, the Warriors have dropped a grand total of six playoff games en route to their last two championships - both of which saw him earn Finals MVP honors.
DeMarcus Cousins' arrival this offseason on a one-year contract increases their chances to accomplish the rare three-peat, although the All-Star center may not even be cleared to compete from his ruptured Achilles until just before the postseason.
"There's a lot of market inefficiencies in the NBA," added Lacob. "Other teams could have gotten Cousins, but they didn't. There's always going to be some sort of opportunity, some inefficiency, I believe."
