The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly excusing center Ante Zizic from the Las Vegas Summer League, and he'll now head home to his native Croatia to be with family during the World Cup final, according to Cleveland.com's Joe Vardon.
Croatia advanced to the World Cup final for the first time and will go up against France on Sunday in Moscow.
The Cavaliers are set to play their next summer league game on Saturday, and the young center will not be available. It's uncertain if Zizic returns at all if there are remaining games on the schedule, as the Las Vegas Summer League has entered its tournament stage.
Zizic has appeared in two Vegas contests, averaging 20.5 points and 12.5 rebounds in 26.5 minutes.
The 6-foot-11 sophomore could take on an expanded role come October after playing in just 32 games last season, averaging 3.7 points and 1.9 rebounds.
