The Golden State Warriors increased their roster's Scandinavian appeal Thursday when they officially announced the signing of forward Jonas Jerebko.
Jerebko was waived last week before his $4.2-million contract for next season with the Utah Jazz became guaranteed. After going unclaimed through the waiver process, the veteran power forward became a free agent.
Now, Jerebko joins a frontcourt rotation featuring holdovers Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, Jordan Bell, and Damian Jones, as well as free-agent signing DeMarcus Cousins.
The 31-year-old averaged 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in 15.3 minutes per game with the Jazz last season.
