Two days after being released by the Los Angeles Lakers, Thomas Bryant has found a new home in the nation's capital after being claimed off waivers by the Washington Wizards Monday, league sources told Yahoo Sports' Shams Charania.
The 20-year-old big man was selected 42nd overall by the Lakers in the 2017 NBA draft, playing a grand total of 72 minutes across 15 games during the 2017-18 campaign. He spent most of his time down in the G-League with the South Bay Lakers.
Bryant was a member of both the First-team All-NBA G-League team and the NBA G-League All-Rookie Team, averaging 19.7 points and 7.4 rebounds.
