The Indiana Pacers waived reserve big man Al Jefferson on Monday, sources told Keith Smith of RealGM.
Jefferson carries a $4-million cap hit next season, and could see his contract stretched by the team, Smith added.
The 14-year veteran shifted to more of a mentor role for Indy's younger big men this season, appearing in just 36 games while averaging seven points and four rebounds per contest.
