Brandon Jennings might not want to sign a lease on a condo for next season just yet.
Jennings was under the impression that the Milwaukee Bucks had kept him on the roster and guaranteed his $2.2-million salary for next season. To his surprise, the team is still deliberating, a source told The Undefeated's Marc J. Spears.
The team has moved the guarantee date from July 1 to August 1, Spears reports.
Jennings is currently the fourth point guard on the Bucks roster alongside Eric Bledsoe, Malcolm Brogdon, and Matthew Dellavedova, which could make him expendable if the team wants to try and duck under the luxury tax.
After returning from China and playing for the G League affiliate Wisconsin Herd last season, Jennings joined Milwaukee for the final two months of the season and played in 14 games, highlighted by a 16-point, 12-assist double-double in his first game on March 12.
