It appears Mike Muscala will be back with the Atlanta Hawks, as sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski that the forward has exercised his $5 million player option for the upcoming season.
The 26-year-old played in 20 minutes per game for the Hawks last season, scoring 7.6 points and grabbing 4.3 rebounds during that time.
The 6-foot-11, 240-pounder connected on 37 percent of his triples last year, a number that certainly makes him an attractive piece for a Hawks team with a renewed focus on the 3-pointer.
The Hawks added Trae Young, Kevin Huerter, and Omari Spellman in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft on Thursday, a trio that represents some of the best shooters available in this year's class.
