A group of Inglewood, Calif., residents filed a lawsuit Tuesday over the city entering into an exclusive negotiating agreement to develop public land for a new Los Angeles Clippers arena.

The residents contend the agreement violates California law, according to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

It's the second lawsuit filed against Inglewood over the proposed arena in the last three months. The latest lawsuit claims that the land should have been made available for housing before it was offered to the Clippers.

In March, the Madison Square Garden Company - which owns the Inglewood Forum - sued the city, claiming a new arena deal with the Clippers would be a breach of contract. The proposed new arena would be built on land currently used for Forum parking.

The Clippers announced last year they would seek to build a new facility, leaving downtown L.A.'s Staples Center - which they have shared with the Lakers since 1999.
