Trae Young is making the media rounds ahead of Thursday's NBA draft, and the Oklahoma sharpshooter was asked an interesting question when appearing on "The Dan Patrick Show" on Tuesday.

After discussing his explosive season with the Sooners, Patrick asked Young who would win a shooting contest between him, Klay Thompson, and Steph Curry.

"It'd be a battle, but I feel like I'd come out with the win," Young responded with a smile. "I have a lot of respect for guys like Steph and Klay. I respect their games but I definitely have a lot of confidence in myself."

In terms of statistics coming out of college, here's how the trio stacks up from their season heading in to the draft.

Player PPG 3-point % Free Throw %
Trae Young 27.4 36 86
Klay Thompson 21.6 40 84
Steph Curry 28.6 39 88

Young's only season with the Sooners would see the guard rank last among the three players in 3-point percentage and sit second behind Curry in free-throw numbers.

The 19-year-old went on to praise both Curry and Thompson for their shooting form and ability to get shots off quickly, but pointed toward a former NBA star Steve Nash as the player he most models his game after.

"He can really pass the ball and score the ball. Our bodies are very similar," Young said. "Out of all the people that I've talked to, whenever I got a text from Steve throughout the season, that was crazy."

Interestingly enough, Young could end up playing for one of the two franchises that Nash performed at his best for as the Phoenix Suns have the No. 1 overall selection and the Dallas Mavericks will be picking fifth.
