Tiger Woods was among those who reached out to congratulate Warriors head coach Steve Kerr following Golden State's NBA Finals sweep of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

While appearing on 95.7 The Game on Thursday, Kerr revealed his most surprising congratulatory text came from the legendary golfer, whom he bonded with last year over back issues.

"I don't want to be a name-dropper but I guess the one that kind of (surprised me) was Tiger Woods. That was pretty cool," Kerr said. "He and I connected, last year, over our back problems and we stayed in touch."

Woods has undergone four back surgeries since 2014, while Kerr has taken several leaves of absence from the Warriors due to complications from a 2015 back surgery.

Kerr told reporters in December that his own history with back issues has made him even more excited to see Woods playing again.

"When you go through a back injury, you understand other people who have been through it," Kerr said, according to Mark Medina of the San Jose Mercury News. "Before I had a back issue, I would've just gone, 'Oh that's awesome, Tiger's back.' Now, it goes much deeper than that. I know the pain he's going through, even though our situations are much different. I'm just so happy to see him out there playing and doing what he loves to do, back at it again. Whether he wins or not, you can tell he's happy."
