Report: Juwan Howard to interview for Pistons' head coaching vacancy
Add Juwan Howard's name to the ever-growing list of candidates linked to the Detroit Pistons' head coaching vacancy.
The current Miami Heat assistant will interview for the position in the next few days, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Wednesday.
Howard was also interviewed for the New York Knicks job, but the role was eventually filled by former Memphis Grizzlies head coach David Fizdale.
Other names rumored for the Pistons gig include Dwane Casey, Becky Hammon, Jerry Stackhouse, and TNT analyst Kenny Smith. San Antonio Spurs assistant Ime Udoka is also expected to be interviewed, league sources told Yahoo Sports' Shams Charania.
Howard, a former All-Star forward, has been in South Beach since 2010, playing the final three seasons of his career with the Heat before transitioning into an assistant coach.
