Oklahoma City Thunder wing Andre Roberson underwent a successful left knee scope in Los Angeles on Tuesday, general manager Sam Presti announced.

The procedure was done to "proactively relieve synovitis," which should accelerate Roberson's rehab.

The Thunder expect the 26-year-old to be in uniform for the start of the 2018-19 season.

Roberson underwent surgery to repair a ruptured patellar tendon in his left knee back in January, which kept him out of action for the remainder of the 2017-18 campaign.

Before the injury, he averaged five points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.2 steals in 39 appearances for the 48-34 Thunder, who allowed 11.2 fewer points per 100 possessions when Roberson was on the floor.
