The Orlando Magic are interviewing former Charlotte Hornets head coach Steve Clifford for their head coaching vacancy, according to Marc Stein of The New York Times.
Clifford joins current University of Houston coach Kelvin Sampson as one of the known targets for the position, Stein added.
After spending five seasons as the bench boss in Charlotte, Clifford was let go at the end of this year's campaign as the Hornets stumbled to a 36-46 record, missing the playoffs for the second year in a row.
Initially a longtime assistant in New York, Houston, Orlando, and Los Angeles, Clifford finished his time in Charlotte with an overall record of 196-214.
