He didn't refer to it by name, but it seems LeBron James would have had to pass a concussion test before returning to Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals late in the second quarter Tuesday.

James took Jayson Tatum's shoulder to the chin under the basket, hitting one of two free throws before briefly departing the game. He appeared dazed for a moment, but the Cavaliers later called the issue a neck strain.

"It didn't affect my game after that," James told reporters after the Cavs' 107-94 loss. "I was checked for multiple things ... I passed them all. That's why I was able to come back and finish the half."

James' durability is the stuff of legend; he's only missed more than eight regular-season games once in his 15 NBA seasons and has never sat out a playoff game.

Still, his one-man force of nature wasn't enough for Cleveland on Tuesday. Despite a 42-point, 12-assist, 10-rebound triple-double, the Cavs now trail the Celtics 2-0 - further putting James' attempt to reach eight straight NBA Finals in doubt.
