Master P was a guest on the latest episode of "The Red Pill with Van Lathan" podcast, and revealed he once nearly came to blows with Kobe Bryant at the Los Angeles Lakers' facility.

The hip-hop mogul didn't offer up many details about the altercation, but did say it occurred shortly after his basketball playing career ended and that "a couple words" were exchanged between them.

"Lamar Odom kind of cooled it off," Master P said. "... You know how Kobe is. The Lakers is his facility, so it was just one of those things. That's his place, which it was."

In 2015, Master P accused Bryant of being a "phony" friend after Odom was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel. He later explained he has "nothing against Kobe or the Lakers" and was only stating his opinion.
