Warriors lose Curry to another ankle injury, will miss 2-game road trip
It's Stephen Curry's ankle. Again.
The Golden State Warriors superstar tweaked his right ankle against the San Antonio Spurs in the first quarter Thursday and was subsequently ruled out for the rest of the night.
After the game - which Golden State won thanks to some Kevin Durant heroics - Steve Kerr announced that Curry will miss his team's next two games, Friday in Portland and Sunday in Minnesota, according to ESPN's Marc Spears.
Here's the bizarre way in which Curry's status was addressed after Thursday's game:
- He was ruled out Friday but said to be traveling with the team to Portland.
- The team then said Curry and the club's head trainer wouldn't travel with the team, instead remaining in the Bay Area for Curry to receive treatment, with his Sunday status to be determined.
- Finally, Curry was ruled out of the entire mini two-game road trip.
Thursday night, after being fouled on a layup attempt, Curry rolled his ankle after forward momentum. He shot and made both free throws before asking his teammates to intentionally foul, giving him an opportunity to walk off the court.

It's the same ankle that Curry has struggled with all season:

Dec. 4th: Bad sprain in New Orleans
Jan. 10th: Minor re-sprain while working out alone at shootaround
March 2nd: Minor sprain on Zaza's foot in Atlanta

Kerr added that he's concerned about his team's health, but not enough to concede the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, according to ESPN's Marc Spears.
"We still have three All-Stars when Steph goes down. Nobody is going to feel sorry for us," Kerr said.
He's probably right.
