The NBA has announced that second-year Atlanta Hawks forward Taurean Prince has replaced Milwaukee Bucks guard Malcolm Brogdon on Team USA at the 2018 Rising Stars Challenge at All-Star Weekend.
Brogdon, the reigning Rookie of the Year winner, is sidelined for the next six-to-eight weeks after partially tearing his left quadriceps tendon Thursday night.
Prince has blossomed as a dependable starter in year two after being selected No. 12 overall in the 2016 draft. Starting all 51 of his appearances this season, Prince has averaged 12 points, five rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 39.1 percent on 3-pointers.
The Rising Stars Challenge is set to go down at 9:00 p.m. ET on Feb. 16 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
