Klay Thompson will attempt to win the NBA's Three-Point Contest for a second time in three years.

The Golden State Warriors sharpshooter told The Athletic's Anthony Slater Tuesday night that he will participate in this year's 3-point competition over All-Star Weekend in his hometown of Los Angeles.

This marks the fourth year in a row that Thompson will take part. He previously defeated his Warriors teammate Stephen Curry at the Air Canada Centre in 2016, but fell short last year in New Orleans with a score of 18 in the opening round.

Thompson joins Bradley Beal, Kevin Love, and Devin Booker as those who will reportedly partake in the 2018 shootout.

He's currently averaging 20.6 points per game for the 37-10 Warriors, while shooting a career-best 45.3 percent from 3-point range, which leads the Association. Thompson was also named an All-Star reserve for a fourth year in a row on Tuesday.
