In "Entourage," actor Jerry Ferrara's character Turtle once panicked because he thought a video game competition he was entering was testing gamers for marijuana.
It's not known whether the new NBA 2K League will use drug testing, but Ferrara added a feather to his cap Thursday when he was named head scout for the Knicks' new esports squad.
"I currently have seven games that I love playing and following," Ferrara told ESPN's Darren Rovell. "But 2K is my No. 1."
The 38-year-old Ferrara, born and raised in Brooklyn, is a lifelong Knicks fan.
The NBA 2K League launches next year with 17 teams associated with NBA franchises.
