Kings' Hill irked about losing, but also 'affected' by things back home in Indiana

Something is on George Hill's mind - and it's not just the Kings' 7-16 record or the team's recent five-point loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

"You've got some things like that and some things going on in my everyday life that I was really affected by, just from the standpoint of things back home - not at my house but back in my home state - that kind of disturbed me a little bit," Hill told reporters Monday.

Hill's revelations were in response to questions about his recent cryptic tweet:

Hill is proudly from the state of Indiana, going to college at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis from 2004-08 and playing for the Pacers from 2011-16. He has previously explained the reason he still keeps "Indiana" in his social media usernames is his allegiance to his home state.

Beyond the weight of unspecified things back home, Hill is frustrated by losing, though he acknowledged he knew the Kings' youth-filled roster would take some time to gel.

"We're learning each other," Hill added. "We know it's going to be a long process. It's going to take time. We knew that we weren't going to come in here and hit the ground running. We have a lot of guys that maybe only played one year in college that are still babies right now, still trying to learn the everyday life of the NBA, so we're still trying to figure it out."
