The Phoenix Suns announced Wednesday that shooting guard Devin Booker will miss the next two-to-three weeks with a left adductor strain.

Booker had to be literally carried off the floor by his teammates Tuesday night after making an awkward cut while defending Raptors guard Fred VanVleet in Toronto.

The third-year Kentucky product was enjoying his finest season to date in terms of individual scoring dominance. Through 25 games, Booker had averaged 24.3 points and 4.1 assists per game while shooting a career-high 38.3 percent on 3-pointers.

The 9-17 Suns, within spitting distance of the worst record in the Western Conference, will sorely miss the unequivocal leader of their offense.
